End of the Lanzarote winter flying season 22/23
· by Kai Kessler
¡Hola de la isla de Lanzarote! Our Papillon winter season on Lanzarote has come to an end.
Our new home base “Casa La Costa” has proven itself and is definitely in the right spot! Thanks also to everyone involved and all the helpers here!!!!
We had a good time here with you, got in a huge amount of training, there was really great positive feedback and truly grand flights.
I'll simply say “thank you” for your trust and your cooperation, and of course for your development as pilots here with me – that feels good!
At the moment the island flies every day – yesterday I had a grand “holiday flight” just for myself: I kited my Ion up at the Famara landing field, launched, climbed to 650 m up to cloudbase and then soared the Risco de Famara 28 km to the Mirador del Río… Incredible… of course we're sending you the photos by my dear colleague Adriane and by me…
The first enquiries for the next Lanzarote season are already coming in – many thanks for that! We checked the dates straight away this morning and will put them online at papillon.de/lanzarote in the next few days!
For me there's now a slightly quieter time before it's off to Norma (opens in a new tab), Zoutelande and Denmark. For the Denmark trip there are a few additional places available from now on!
I'm looking forward to seeing some of you again – in the Rhön or in Lüsen, for instance…
So then – ¡Saludos y hasta luego! – we'll happily be back with the island blog when we're here again from mid-October 😍
Kai and team
