¡Buenos días de la isla de Lanzarote Amigos! Here we are again…
After I'd written the last island blog, we of course went out again with last week's course… and lo and behold – the NW wind held… it was flying in Famara😎😍🤘
Some participants got support kiting up / handling up the slope, I followed and set a direct line towards Playa de Famara… Matze and Markus were right behind, so we flew along the 8 km ridge and were back at our tour bus in time for sunset. That was fantastic.
And then on the last course day the island had another gift for us – hours of soft flying from the Mirador del Río, 650 metres above Orzola and the Atlantic… Really good!
Since last week's crew left, it's been flying at Macher and Playa Quemada, and this morning I'm at Mala.
It's so wonderfully predictable right now: I had an appointment at the town hall and announced at the villa: “Folks, I'm off flying for an hour before I pick up the paintbrush again.” And now, an hour later, I've landed next to the tour bus. During the flight too, everything was beautifully predictable. In one of the photos I'm out front over the beach with plenty of height to take the picture, then back to the site and up it went again. A real dream!
I'm looking forward to the next participants and weeks here with you, and for now I wish you “¡Felizes fiestas!” wherever you're reading this and whatever you're doing…
Attached are the last pictures from the past week and the latest ones from the last few days, in the hope that they do you good and make you happy! To all the other paraglider pilots here on the island – great that we look out for each other so well when flying and that everything is so relaxed! I don't think it's ever been as good as this winter!? Thanks for that!
So then – ¡Saludos y hasta pronto! Kai and Team 😎🤘😍
