FLA10.25: ¡El Risco de Famara y Pechos especial!
· by Kai Kessler
¡Hola de la isla de Lanzarote amigos!
In today's edition: ¡El Risco de Famara y Pechos especial 😍💯!
First of all, last week came to a very good end. Our crew had put the focus on handling and training and on developing their understanding of and feel for the wing. And still we couldn't “protect” ourselves from flying, so there were some lovely soaring flights at Tenesar and at our Pechos.
And on Sunday we had a new situation too: four participants simply stayed on for another week! Awesome! That way we can definitely let the newly built foundation dry and consolidate everything!
The “newbies” arrived on Sunday and had the same focus – train, understand, try things out, feel – that fits perfectly… And our island weather is playing along:
After a first sniff of the island on Monday in light wind at Mala, we've basically been out on our playground at the Pechos ever since – twice a day.
By now the crew can “groundhandle or Kai-te their way into the dune😂😎🤷🤘💯” and the effect of the last few days is clearly visible from the outside! Anyone who wants to can also fly back and forth at the Pechos in between, or even dare to work their way a little bit towards Famara! That's really lovely to watch from the outside, too! 😍💯🤘
As Sandra said three weeks ago: “Today I was able to Kai-te up the Pechos for the first time, it felt good and right, and then I flew! Flying makes a whole new kind of sense when you haven't launched from the top but from the landing field!” 💯😂🤘😍
Since Annalena is running the course this week and I'm just tagging along, I had also made the decision to fly into the Risco again for the first time in a long while…
Yesssss – it's definitely not a hologram or a projection! It really does fly there!😂🤘💯😎
We're sending you a few nice pictures from here…
Apart from that, the mood in the villa is as great as ever and, as always, we've grown together as a family – especially when four out of seven are here for their second week…
For the next two weeks we're on our own, so no course on the hill – after 17 weeks of fully booked courses a short course break is needed every now and then… 😎🤷🤘🤦😂 After that we're looking forward to the last weeks with you here in the current Lanzarote season!
Today I'd like to send an unbelievably warm and huge thank you to Lennard “Lenni” Schubert, who, after his time here, has made some incredibly great videos of our flying life here! Magnificent!!! Thank you so much, Lenni!!! 😘💯😍❤

Of course I'll keep reporting from our private weeks, as I get endless amounts of incredibly great feedback about this island blog, and of course I appreciate that very much! Thank you for being you, for your trust and for our togetherness!
¡Saludos y hasta la próxima semana!
