¡Hola de la isla de Lanzarote amigos!
The first week of the new year is truly magnificent: so far we've been flying every day, sometimes with a few hours of airtime! 😍😎💯🤘
It all started on Sunday evening: groundhandling in light wind at the landing field in Famara. Monday a relaxed introduction to island and coastal flying in Mala. After the lunch break, evening soaring in El Cuchillo🤘😎😍
Tuesday morning: Flying and training at the Pechos, lunch break in the “surfer village of Famara”, evening: El Cuchillo😂😎🤘💯
Wednesday: Soaring and thermal flying in Macher, lunch break at Casa-La-Costa, in the evening a bit of searching and pondering and then the rare “extended zero-wind glide-down” from Macher towards the coast of Puerto Calero😎💯😂🤘🤷
Really awesome so far! For today and the next few days of this Papillon flying week on Lanzarote it looks like flying in Mala during the day and in the crater of El Cuchillo in the evening… Pilot's heart, what more could you want!?!😍
Our crew this week is amazing too: our evening round of “How was YOUR day?” is mega fun, and living together in our Casa with you is working out brilliantly! Thank you so much for that!!! You're fantastic!!!
And we have “distinguished visitors” this week too: My highly esteemed flight instructor colleague from the Lower Rhine and the “flying mum” from Elpe are with us for the first time! Megaaaaaa great and lovely 😍 Because things are going so well right now, both in flying and in human terms, today's island blog is decorated with lots of colourful smileys and is more than just a list of what we're up to here…
We hope you're doing as well as we are here… We're looking forward to the coming weeks with lots of new and some familiar faces and wings in the air!😎🤘😍💯
¡Saludos y hasta pronto!
Your islanders
