Week four… we're still here 😎😂 and you know what – we're staying…
Since the last island blog, some of us have been flying here every day… Our “new crew” too, of course:
Monday kicked off with Mala and Annalena's “playground”, the Pechos. Getting to know the island, a bit of flying, a bit of training, learning and practising the fundamentals, so that in future you're much more confident in what you're doing and therefore unpack your wing more often 😎😂🤘
Tuesday it was back to the Pechos first, and then flying in the crater of El Cuchillo was on the agenda – ¡muy bien! 😍 After that, more handling on the black beach of Tenesar… and NOOOW: southerly conditions… Calima… the Sahara–Fuerteventura sand wall is back in front of the south-east side of the island: for us that really means the effect of a physical barrier / wall in front of the coast.
This morning Annalena took everyone to Macher for sunrise – unfortunately there was already too much wind… 45–55 km/h… it was definitely worth a try! And down at the playa: no wind! 🤷🤦 We're going on standby and will report back next week…
