¡Hola de la isla de Lanzarote amigos!
Today I'm writing the last post of the 2025/2026 Lanzarote season. Let's draw a line under the last few months:
ALL course weeks were successful!
Sometimes there was lots of flying, sometimes less – of course… but every course week had at least one “typical island day” with several hours of flying. Around 60% of all weeks had 2-3 such days on which flights of several hours were possible.
Over the entire winter months we had only 17 days on which we couldn't go out – or didn't WANT to! Otherwise we trained.
The training was rated 100% positive by the participants! 😍🤘😎💯
The “long-term effects” participants describe after a training week with us also go 100% in the direction of: “positive development”, “massive widening of my flying window”, “I'm experiencing the kind of safety and understanding I've been wishing for for years!”, etc… THANK YOU FOR THAT!
Our winter team, consisting in total of Lisa, Sandra, Petra, Heli, Holger, Reini, Micha, Jens, Matze, Dirk, Chris, Marius and others, worked in every possible constellation and is incredibly strong and effective! Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone for everything! We're keeping the concept – two flight instructors plus support, as often as possible.
Lots of positive feedback
and thanks regarding my island blog here have prompted me to keep doing it without AI – and from now on for all our other Soaring Perfection Trainings too! Thanks to the tremendous help of so many people, a lot has happened in and around Casa La Costa as our island base – a megaaaaaaaaaaaa THANK YOU to EVERYONE who has supported us here in everything and keeps helping us! Awesome!
The island weather
was definitely different this year from anything we'd experienced so far. Not worse, because all the courses were completed successfully. However: SOOOOOO GREEN, and apparently there hasn't been this much water from above in 40 years… 😎🤷💯🤘 It looks like Ireland – but it doesn't make a flight instructor's life any easier here… 😎😂🤷🤦💯🤘😍 Still – we'll be back and are already looking forward to the 2026/2027 season here on Lanzarote!
Heli, Holger, Reini and I will be running the weeks together again. The course listings are in the works and will be online at the beginning of April on the Papillon Lanzarote page😎💯🤘😍
Now that we've locked up the Casa after our training weeks, our journey continues to the next Soaring Perfection Training – in Wales💯🤘😍😎 We're looking forward to seeing lots of familiar and new faces at the two training weeks there.
