¡Hola de la isla de Lanzarote Amigos! We're back and the island blog is back on air! 😎🤘😍
This year we've put more weeks on offer than ever before. Because of the enormous demand and the incredible number of enquiries about my methods for wind and about our coastal training in general, we decided to make multi-week stays possible for you too, so you can freely choose what suits you best. Thank you very much for your interest!
Since I can't manage all of that on my own, this year I have strong support from my beloved and valued colleague Annalena😍🤘 and – of course – from the whole coastal pilots' community behind me, in front of me and beside me!!! Thank you very much, folks!!!
This year the focus is more on the actual training with the wing:
Understanding the system, learning to master the “thing” or refining that mastery, pushing your personal comfort zone “when working” with the wing, so you feel more confident and, after the course weeks here, unpack more often and stay relaxed in stronger conditions than before, because you know what you can do! Many participants expressed this wish in advance – that training comes first for them, that it's about individual development.
With a solid basis in understanding the system pilot–wing–wind–terrain and with enough time set aside to train that understanding, you'll afterwards get into the air safely much more easily and more often… That's why this year we're primarily pursuing exactly this approach. And when it's flying really well, we'll simply go flying really well! What else…?!?😎💯🤘
To get our home on the island ready for the season in time, Marcus and Jens successfully completed a 50-hour road trip and brought the gear over to the island for us on the ferry. Thanks, guys!
At the moment we're on site with part of our community, preparing the villa for the coming course weeks.
…a little warm-up flying first…
And well – we're already flying the island in a bit for you, like yesterday and probably today at the Famara flying site – or rather at the Risco de Famara…!!! 😎🤘💯😍
The photos from our first training session and from playing in the “sandpit” of Famara are already included… And – today's cloud street over the middle of the island, which gives us hope of flying the 28 km long “highway” at the Risco de Famara later on…!? We'll report back and look forward to many familiar and new faces here!
Of course I'll grant your wish and write the island blog consistently again, as in previous years – thank you for your interest and your many great comments!
And now: ¡Vamos a volar amigos! 💯🤘😎😍
