Training, flying – and the prospect of Teguise or Risco

Soaring on the slopes of Lanzarote

¡Hola de la isla de Lanzarote!

This week, too, is dominated by lots of wind. Even so, there have been three flying windows so far; flying this week has been possible at Orzola from the lower launch sites.

Still, we've done some really good work: inflating again and again, stopping the wing, getting into kiting with the wing, resting positions for the wing… simply everything that falls under wing control, wing understanding and wing feel…

For that we use the “small ones” where it really blows – and the “big ones” on the sandy beach in front of the mighty, sheltering, 500-metre-high north wall of Orzola…

BUT – according to the current forecast, today is the last day of this long weather spell! On Friday the wind turns more to the north and hopefully back to NW, so that we can hopefully fly from Teguise to Famara or maybe even into the Risco… We're keeping our fingers crossed here in any case and will report back if it helped…

As reinforcement I now have my dear and highly competent colleague Annalena with me – I'm very happy about that, and now things can only go up… 😎🤘

Other than that, we're simply sending warm greetings again from the island to wherever you happen to be right now…

¡Saludos y hasta pronto!
Kai and Team 😎😍
