Lots of training and 3 hours of airtime so far…
· by Kai Kessler
¡Hola de la isla de Lanzarote!
The penultimate Papillon Lanzarote week is under way. Last week was course-free and I had a few other things to do – so unfortunately the island blog didn't happen – sorry about that, and thanks for the many messages asking whether I'm okay…!? 😎😂🤷👍 Nice that you miss it when it's missing…
Hard to believe it's almost over again – it's nearly the end of February already. On the other hand, that's when the season at the Wasserkuppe and in Lüsen and everywhere else really gets going. Somehow you do look forward to all the colleagues and people who couldn't be with us over the winter…
The current week is very training-heavy, learning and practising the right techniques for strong wind and tight spaces. Harald has taken the prize this week so far: on the first evening and yesterday at midday in Mala with approx. 3 hours of airtime😎🤘😍 Congratulations and keep it up.
However, the forecast looks like lots of wind for now and maybe even too much wind for flying – we'll see… So far, apart from one week in which there was no flying at all, every week here on the island has been successful again.
And your positive feedback afterwards about my techniques is very overwhelming – thank you very much for that!!! Next winter is already being planned and we're looking forward to it already!
So then – ¡hasta pronto! Kai and team 😎😍🤘
